Hat Community welcomes you!

Our community members come from different walks of life, different countries, speak different languages, and have different likes and dislikes, but we all share a common love  - the love for hats and hat making.

We all want Hat Community to be a enjoyable and friendly site for everyone and want our members to be kind, courteous  and polite to each one another.

Being on this site means you agree to follow these guidelines, which are aimed at the safety and growth of this community.

Please note: These rules don't cover everything in our Terms of Use, which will always apply. The rules apply to all areas on this website.

To help everyone have the best possible experience, please take a look at our community guidelines:

Positive guidelines 

  • Remember the golder rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you

  • Start by creating your public profile, so people may know you a bit more

  • Feel free to post questions and start discussions on any topics relating to area of focus or interests.

  • Treat others as you would treat them in real life

  • Be polite and communicate with respect

  • Respect the privacy of other community members

  • Utilize Hat Community Team members for support

  • Contact us directly with feedback online or email uss at [contact@hatcommunity.com]

Rules and restrictions

  • Don’t share posts without permission

  • Don’t share personal or private information

  • Don’t post irrelevant messages

  • Don’t post promotional content

  • Personal attacks, trolling and abuse will not be tolerated

  • Don’t post explicit, rude or aggressive content

Consequences

In the event of someone violating these guidelines, we will take action to protect other members. This might include a warning or in the event of extreme or repeat behavior, the member may be banned from the community and membership closed.

If you experience or witness any behavior that doesn’t follow our community guidelines, please contact us directly at [contact@hatcommunity.com]. All reports are kept confidential.

Restricted actions or behavior

Any behaviour that can be classified as the following will not be tolerated. 

  • Misinformation

  • Spam

  • Racism, sexism and any other discrimination

  • Personal attacks

  • Illegal activities

  • Trolling

  • Explicit material

  • Personal attacks, harassment, and personal threats are not allowed

  • Hate speech and hateful imagery is not permitted

  • Respect the privacy of others. Do not post the contents of private correspondence or private information about other members without permission.

  • No adult language in avatars or usernames.

  • Spreading of harmful advice, hoaxes, or other disinformation is unacceptable.

  • Reviews and criticism that are genuine are always welcome. At the same time, if we suspect that you are trying to use our site for the purpose of harming a business or person, your posts will be deleted and your posting privileges may be affected.

  • Nudity or graphic violence in avatars or other photos is not permitted.

  • Unsolicited promotional private messages are spam.

  • Posting the same message to more than 2 boards without permission from the group owner/moderators is not permitted.

  • Unreasonable crossposting is considered spam. 

  • Deceptive accounts

Reporting or Blocking a member:

  • You can choose to either Report or Block a member (from Directories>Members; choose option on the member profile card)

  • Whilst reporting a member  you will be given the screen to choice an option before you click 'Report'.​
